The D20ME II is the sixth generation main processor for the D20 platform. This 32-bit main processor module handles data collection and delivery to host computers, runs local automation algorithms and maintains I/O and device data in the system database.

The universal relay systems are equipped with the standard operating procedure of completing a health diagnostic test during startup conditions. These advanced device health diagnostics even continue during running conditions in order to monitor functions and the hardware of the universal relay. The UR-8NH is a specific type of CT/VT module that may be included in universal relay Multilin units. The CT/VT modules can provide the universal relay with up to 24 analog CT or VT inputs. These inputs are monitored in order to confirm the validity of the signals to ensure integrity. Internal DC voltage levels are also recorded by the universal relay in order to complete proactive maintenance. The UR-8NH is of the newer models of the CT/VT modules used in Multilin universal relay systems. This particular order code (UR-8NH) is of the 8N description, which means that this CT/VT module has the standard 8CT with enhanced diagnostics. If the CT/VT has a sensitive ground capability then the universal relay would also be able to obtain ground fault protection added on to the included capabilities mentioned above.
