GE Fanuc Versamax IC200MDL930 MODULE

Description

Produced by GE Automation as part of their VersaMax family, the IC200MDL930 is an output module with eight output points.The output points on this module are Form A relay types, meaning they are compatible with both alternating current and direct current loads. The contact point for this device will be closed when the central processing unit is active and the output logic bit is set to “1.” The network interface unit and central processing unit both perform intelligent processing on the eight bits of output data.

The power needed for this module to function comes from the rack-mounted backplane. If any positive or negative load switching functionality is required, a secondary source of power will be necessary. The power draw from a 5v output backplane is 245 milliamps. The load current per output point varies but will be at least 10 milliamps. Output points on this device are open contact and therefor have no output leakage current. The relay type for each output point is a fixed coil with a moving armature, and the contact type is a silver alloy. The ON/OFF response times for the IC200MDL930 are slightly slower than other VersaMax modules at 10 milliseconds each. The switching frequency for inductive loads is measured at 20 cycles every minute.

In addition to the individually isolated output points, theIC200MDL930also possesses channel to channel isolation. Protection measures, however, are not provided by this product, and no internal fuses or snubbers are present. Thermal derating does not apply to this device. Output point “on” and “off” status is displayed via a corresponding LED indicator light.
