Description

The IC200MDD845 is a mixed module made by GE Fanuc and is capable of supporting discrete inputs and outputs.This device provides two groups of eight inputs and one group of eight outputs for a total of 24 points. The outputs for this device are relay outputs with Form A and are individually isolated. When the output logic bit is set to “1” and the central processing unit for the host is active, the output contact points are closed. Input points which receive current from devices and return it to the common line or vice versa can have two options: positive logic or negative logic. To use negative logic, updating to the IC200MDD845C is necessary.

The IC200MDD845 receives power from the backplane, but a second power supply will be needed to support additional loads. The amount of power that this device draws from the backplane power source is based on the number of active input and output points, up to a total maximum consumption of 270 milliamps. The number of input and output points that can be simultaneously active depends on different factors. Input point voltage is 24 volts of direct current, and output voltage varies from 0-125 volts of direct current and 0-265 volts of alternating current when in the 47-63 Hertz range.
