Description

The ABB SPAU140C is a numerical synchro-check relay designed to be used when two power systems are to be connected together. It is a microprocessor-based relay that measures the voltage, frequency, and phase angle of both systems and compares them to preset values. If the conditions are met, the relay outputs a signal that can be used to interlock the circuit breakers of the two systems, allowing them to be connected together safely.
