Introduction
The Allen-Bradley 1757-SRC10 redundancy module cable does not need any type of ground isolation becauseit is a fiber-optic interface. It uses only onefiber-optic channel for transmitting and receiving information between the primary and secondary PLCs. Installing and configuring the redundancy feature in Allen-Bradley PLC systems is a task that should only be performed by highly trained electrical personnel. It is important to remember that the 1757-SRC10 redundancy module cable should not be bent around sharp edges, and that it should not be cut, run over, abraded, or otherwise damaged during installation. The total light loss through the cable needs to be less than or equal to 7 dB at 1300 nm wavelength for the redundancy system to work properly.
