1785-BCM Profile :
The 1785-BCM PLC 5 Backup Communication Module by Allen-Bradley is a backup module which provides high-speed transfer of communication between 2 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC-5) processors and it backs up the processor information and data in the event of a system failure. The module occupies a single slot on the 1771 I/O chassis and it is compatible with the 5/60 and -5/80 PLC 5 processors. It draws a 1A backplane current at 5V DC. The 1785-BCM provides 32-bit input capability for PLC 5 processors in the image table and it comes with switch assemblies with 4 switches which are set in different positions. The 1785-BCM also comes with the 1771-WG Field Wiring Arm with a wiring arm screw torque of 9 inches-pounds and it uses 26-14 AWG solid or stranded copper wire as conductors.
