The 1756-CN2 provides for high-speed I/O bridge-based functionality when it comes to managing distributed I/O modules and transferring of scheduled data through produced or consumed tags. This module can also execute unscheduled MSG instruction communication-related roles with other devices, ControlNet nodes, and messaging data. Ensure that the 1756-CN2 is operated at the recommended industrial setting, i.e. a temperature of between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius. Plus, this module can operate at an altitude of up to 6562 feet without derating. The 1756-CN2 comes with a standard ControlNet bridge and a communication rate of 5 Mbps. The module can support the primary and secondary as well as I/O chassis of a redundancy system. The 1756-CN2 provides for the ControlNet Network and relies on both the CIP plus P2P network for its high-speed performance. The 1756-CN2 is capable of supporting up to 128 connections featuring 99 redistribution points (known as nodes). The 1756-CN2 comes with a rating of 1100 (mA) at 5.1 Volts DC, Volts DC, 3.0 Amps at 24 Volts DC. The module’s operational power and thermal dissipations are 5.6 Watts and 19.1 BTU/hour, respectively.
