The Allen-Bradley 1756-IA16 is a ControlLogix digital I/O module. In particular, it is an AC digital input module that connects to a ControlLogix chassis and it requires an RTB, removable terminal block, a 1492 IFM, or an interface module, to connect all field-side wiring. It has 8 diagnostic inputs, with 8 points per group. The 1756-IA16 has features that users can configure, namely the ‘change of state’ and ‘input filter times’ settings which can be adjusted by using the RSLogix 5000 software. The 1756-IA16 module's operating voltage range is from 74 to 132 Volts AC at a frequency of 47 to 63 Hertz, while both the voltage category and input frequency are 120 Volts AC and 50/60 Hertz, respectively.

The maximum recorded inrush current is 250 milliamps peak, decaying to less than 37% in 22 milliseconds without activation.
