Description

The 1756-OB16IS ControLogix Output Module by Allen-Bradley is an output module located on the 1756 Chassis slot, and it has 16 individually-isolated sinking/sourcing outputs with 8 of the outputs being scheduled. It has 2A (DC-13SQ) contact rating, and 0-30V operational voltage. It has a signal delay time of 1ms for OFF to ON and 2ms for ON to OFF and draws 350mA at 5.1V DC and 2.5mA at 24V DC backplane current, and has a total backplane power consumption of 1.8W. The module has a maximum power dissipation of 3.6W at 60 °C and a thermal dissipation of 12.28 BTU/hr. The maximum voltage loss in the ON state is 1.2V DC at 2A, and each point has a leakage current of 0.5mA. Each point also has a nominal current of 1A/2A at 30/60 0C with 8A/4A maximum current on the module at 30/60 0C and the module has 4A surge current for 10ms repeatable every 2s on every output points with 1mA minimum current load on each point.

It has 8 scheduled outputs synchronized within 16.7s Coordinated System Time (CST) and has Hold last state, On, or Off Fault states, with OFF being the default state. It has 250V isolation between outputs-to-backplane, and output-to-output, utilizing basic-type insulation, routine-tested at 1350V AC for 2 seconds. Module keying is done by electronic and software configuration, but mechanical keying on the Removable Terminal Block is at user discretion. It is designated the T4A (North America) and IEC T4 temperature codes and comes with open-style enclosure. It has a 60 °C (140 °F) maximum ambient temperature and is tested to function within stipulated performance standard with an operational vibration of 2G and a shock of 30G
