Description

The 1756-DMD30Allen-Bradley ControlLogix drive moduleis a single-slot industrial ControlLogix module which enables device interfacing with the Reliance Electric Distributed Power System (DPS) equipment. Each 1756-DMD30 module interfaces with an individual Power Module Interface (PMI) chassis and it performs outer torque, position, and velocity control. The 1756-DMD30 module works with SD3000 6 Pulse DPS equipment system which is an S6 DC drive and an S6R resolver and with the SD3000 12-Pulse equipment system which is a S12 DC drive and S12R resolver. Some of the features available on the 1756-DMD30 module include a motor control capability which mimics theReliance Electric drive, fiber optic communication to the PMI, the SynchLink for data transfer and timing, PC tools including DriveExecutive and RSLogix software, and the ability to be removed andinsertedunder power.

The 1756-DMD30 module is installed inside a ControlLogix chassis and it communicates to the SynchLink nodes through the fiber optic network. The 1756-DMD30 module also connects to PMI chassis through fiber optic cables. The 1756-DMD30 module is a single-slot module and it operates on DC power that is supplied by the ControlLogix chassis. The module current consumption rating at 24 Volts DC is 3 milliamps and at 5.1 Volts DC, it is 1.35 Amps. The peak module power dissipation is 6.96 Watts and the thermal dissipation is 23.7 BTU per hour. Green and red indicators are provided on the module for diagnostics, status, and operation updates. The storage and operating temperature ranges are -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit and 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, respectively. The operating shock rating is 30 G. The recommended ambient relative humidity range is 5 to 95%. The mean time between failure for the 1756-DMD30 module is 1.7 million hours.
